The theme for this year is ‘Me and my foreign friend’. We do not need to include these words in the students entry but they are welcome to if they wish. The text of the theme does not have to be illustrated on their artwork. We are looking for an interpretation of the theme through their art.
The competition requires entrants to draw or paint posters on the theme using pencil, charcoal, pen or ink, felt-tip markers, crayon, pastel, water colours, gouache, acrylics, oils, poster colour or collage. The Clonmel Polish School is also accepting a photo for the competition. There should be a short note added to explain where the photo was taken.
There are two categories – General and Special – with two age groups in each:
Primary and Secondary school. Entrants may enter the competition only once.
The prizes are Digital and Instant Cameras sponsored by Polish Embassy in Dublin.
All art entries must be photographed and submitted by email to: polskaszkolaclonmel@gmail.com until 10th of June this year. The winners will be announced on Sunday the 11th of June. Message will be sent to the school.
All entries must be attached with the information about the participant: name, address, age, date of birth and school; must be clearly presented and attached to the email. Any entries bearing incomplete will not be considered.
It should be noted that once photos of the artwork are received by the Clonmel Polish School, they become its property and may be presented at the Clonmel Polish School’s website and Facebook page as well as Polska Eire Festival website. All entries are accepted as original works and the Polish School in Clonmel is not responsible for any breach of copyright.
