As well as having a range of practical uses, trees and woodlands  were sacred to the ancient Celts and Slavs. In conjunction with the Galway City Museum, join author Niall McCoitir (Ireland’s Trees: Myths, Legends & Folklore), ethnologist Marcin Piotrowski (University of Lodz), archeologist Derry Townsend plus other guest speakers as they discuss Celtic and Slavic folk beliefs.
