Triskel Arts Centre Tobin St., Cork City

Photo Exhibition by Krzysztof Rosa : ‘‘Love doesn’t ask for a passport’’

When talking about emigration into Ireland in search of a new, better life, we usually focus on the economic aspect of it, but for many a new life in Ireland involves falling in love.

For many it is the main reason to stay.

Does love ask for a passport?

We all know disadvantages of emigration: separation from family home, often a life partner, which can be a reason for loneliness, unhappiness, divorce etc. However, this is only one side of the coin. The other one is hopes for a more balanced life, new friendships, dreams of a girl with misty eyes, long curly hair, sunny disposition…

What attracts us in our diversity?

What makes mixed couples decide to be together? What are the cultural differences and how do they affect mutual chemistry?

Photographer, Krzysztof Rosa, take a look in to this phenomenon with the help of the camera’s eye.

Admission free. All welcome.
